Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of SEN at a Special education school in Gloucestershire.
The school have a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher with SEMH/ASC experience to join our brand-new team in Gloucester. Someone who takes a more creative approach to teaching and leadership would be perfect for this role.
The School is a new independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 7 to 14, catering for children with a wide range of needs, SEMH/ASD/Complex trauma. The dedicated team will work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
The school welcome staff who share our commitment to help children experience better days and better lives. Through ongoing development and training, they ensure the staff are well prepared for their jobs and given every opportunity to extend their skills.
They are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed Teacher to join the educational team and to help deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate the pupils and achieve positive outcomes for the young people.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs.
You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom.
You may have specialist knowledge and experience of working with autistic spectrum disorder or children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Or you may have experience of working across both specialisms.
