Salary: Soulbury 23-26 (plus 3 SPA) £64,985 to £68,434

Start date: As soon as possible

Due to retirement, we have an exciting opportunity for a new Service Manager to join our team and make a lasting impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Wakefield. The Service Manager will be responsible for Wakefield Inclusion Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Support Service, helping our high-performing council to deliver the very best possible outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.

The Service Manger will have expertise in the area of SEND and the range of provision and support, specialist knowledge required to meet diverse needs, a thorough understanding of how services are commissioned, delivered and improved, along with the ability to translate this into action on the ground. You will have gained significant management experience in a relevant field and bring with you a detailed knowledge of the regulatory context, challenges and opportunities related to SEND and inclusion. You will provide compelling, collaborative leadership to several key service areas, and have a flair for influencing a wide range of stakeholders across the system in Wakefield and beyond.

For the right leader, this is a fantastic opportunity. You will join a committed team who are already delivering great results and together you will make a tangible difference to children and young people with SEND and their families in the area. If you are a dynamic, committed individual with the combination of knowledge and leadership skills required for this role, then we want to hear from you.

In return, we can offer you exceptional support and a rewarding career within a successful organisation.
