Sessional Teacher - ESOL [ up to 24 hours per week until approximately July 2018]
We are looking for a Sessional Teacher to join our Adult ESOL teaching team at The St James' Centre.
You will be a dedicated and motivated professional ready to provide an innovative, dynamic and responsive delivery of ESOL.
You will have experience in delivering Skills for Life ESOL to adults ideally in a community setting. You will have experience of delivering a range of levels from Pre Entry - level Two. You will be responsible for planning schemes of work and lessons, setting and marking assignments, keeping learners' individual learning plans up to date and entering student data on our administrative system. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.
In addition, candidates will also need a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one, and achieved a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
