We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced SENCO or specialist Teacher who has the knowledge and ability to carry out a leading and coordinating role in working with schools to develop SEND provision.

What will you be doing?

You will be part of a team of experienced Specialist Teachers or SENCos, working closely with schools and other partners to ensure effective provision and outcomes for pupils with SEND. The role will include providing expert advice and guidance to schools, working with Senior leaders, SENCOs and class teachers and you will be expected to plan and deliver termly SENCo network meetings.

About you

You will be a qualified teacher with experience of supporting children with a range of SEND needs, ideally with experience of working as a SENCo or specialist teacher. You will have a broad range of relevant experience and a strong CPD record.

You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of working with primary and or secondary aged pupils providing advice and guidance to teachers and teaching assistants; promoting a culture of inclusion. 

You will be able to work both independently and jointly with other professionals and have the confidence and knowledge to deliver support and advice to settings. A proactive approach to research and developing yourself through CPD is essential as is a strong knowledge of best practice and developments in SEND and AP.

The ability to work autonomously to prioritise work and meet deadlines is key.
