The Newton Stewart secondary school nurtures positive behaviour and teamwork, wanting to maintain a good, strong partnership between staff, parents and students. The school fosters strong relationships between peers and wants to ensure that respect and tolerance are shown towards individuals, regardless of their differences or beliefs. These range from vocational based, such as the Young Writers Club, to sports and fitness clubs. The Duke of Edinburgh Award is also available for students to take part in.
