Futura Learning Partnership is a partnership of schools which span 5 local authority areas: Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Westover Green Community School and Autism Centre is a 4-11 Community Primary School (406 on roll). We are a successful, established school with an Autism Centre that acts as a bridge to mainstream.. We provide a safe, secure, stimulating and motivational environment for each individual.

We have a vacancy for an outstanding and inspirational class teacher to work in our Autism Centre.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an excellent knowledge of autism and a deep understanding of statutory SEND paperwork.
  • Be a positive team member who can lead the work of support staff in the Autism Centre and liaise effectively with mainstream colleagues.
  • Maintain effective communication between school and families.
  • Be inspirational, dedicated and committed to creating a stimulating learning environment.
  • Be an effective classroom teacher with high expectations of pupils, attainment, progress and behaviour.
  • Have a sound understanding of how to develop communication development with children.
