The Gorse Academies Trust are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of Mandarin Chinese. Currently in the sixth year of our development, you will join our dynamic teaching team and our Partnership Director to work across the Trust in primary, secondary and Post-16 education. We are seeking an inspirational leader who has the flair and expertise to engage and inspire students through their teaching of Chinese language and culture.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity and a determination to ensure all students thrive within our provision.

 

This role represents a rare and exciting opportunity for any candidate who would like to be part of a dynamic team and who shares our vision to see our Mandarin Chinese provision rapidly expand and flourish across the Trust.

 

The ideal applicant will have:

Either:

·      A successful placement(s), teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training).

or:

·      A successful record of teaching with very good exam results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who already have gained QTS.

·      A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium.

·      The ability to put vision into practice.

About us:

GORSE have established a long-standing culture of excellence where ‘high challenge, high support’ is commonplace. Our trust will be made up of 15 establishments by September 2025. In addition to this, we also operate GORSE SCITT and Leeds Teaching School Hub, important establishments in their own right.
