Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and creative Teacher of Maths to join our experienced, supportive and motivated Maths department. We are looking for a teacher who is committed to high achievement for all and who will deliver well planned and engaging lessons to help our students to make excellent progress. 

The Maths department are committed to raising standards and further developing teaching and learning. The subject area is housed in its own building and is a well-equipped learning environment with all teaching rooms fitted with interactive resources or a projector.

The department is an experienced team of specialists with good teaching skills, committed to working with students to enable them to fulfill their potential and engage in learning that is fun, active and challenging.

We are looking for a teacher to lead on the development of numeracy across the curriculum. This would be the ideal post for a candidate looking for their first promotion or a more experienced teacher looking to take on a whole school role.

About King Edward VI High School

King Edward VI High School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Westway, Stafford. It is a community state school, smaller than average, and will provide 1,049 places to secondary and sixth-form students aged 11-18, when fully subscribed.

The school was established in 1550, providing free education to young boys under the name of the Free Grammar School of King Edward VI. In 1907, Stafford Girls’ High School was established nearby to provide a grammar school education for girls. Seventy years later, King Edward VI Grammar School and Stafford Girls’ High School were amalgamated to create King Edward VI High School.
