The States of Guernsey is looking for a Teacher of Maths to join their team within the Secondary School Partnership with effect from September 2024.
The role will entail facilitating a high quality learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
The States of Guernsey is currently undergoing a period of transformation in secondary and post-16 education. Currently, Les Beaucamps, La Mare de Carteret, St Sampson’s, and Les Varendes and Sixth From Centre are the four States’ secondary schools in Guernsey. The schools form the Secondary School Partnership which is led by a unified Executive Leadership Team.
The transformation will see further development of the Secondary School Partnership and the reorganisation of the current educational estate into three 11-16 schools and a new purpose-built Sixth Form Centre. This will form part of a post 16 campus co-located with the Guernsey Institute.
Further information can be found here: www.gov.gg/ourfutureeducation.
The successful candidates will be passionate about supporting and raising students’ individual achievements with innovative ideas to build on existing good practice, alongside being able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning. They will be part of a team who identify, support and enable personalised opportunities for students and deliver the Bailiwick Curriculum including a range of international and UK qualifications. We expect our staff to make a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of their school, offering a commitment to the broad range of enrichment activities that are available. Those appointed will be committed to working in a school that is part of the Secondary School Partnership and the transition to the new secondary school model.
