Job overview

Teacher of Mathematics required from September 2023

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, passionate about Maths and working with young people. The ability to implement a strong curriculum, engage, enthuse and inspire young people to achieve success is key and we welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs. We are keen to support the development of less experienced practitioners or practitioners without A level teaching experience but strong subject knowledge and a keenness to learn to enable the teaching of A level in the future.

The Mathematics Department at Coombe Dean is a strong and supportive team with a track record of strong academic outcomes and particularly strong numbers on post-16 courses. In lessons, expectations are high, and the curriculum is implemented to support students to develop their ability to think like a mathematician, regardless of their starting point.

Coombe Dean School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Therefore, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

About Coombe Dean School

As a school, we have much to be proud of. We work hard at fostering positive relationships with pupils and families alike and this supports a safe and calm learning environment for our pupils. We value the consistency and transparency of a very simple behaviour system that is built around mutual respect and learning how to get things right rather than being told what you have done wrong. The strong pastoral provision supports our pupils throughout their education journey, starting from transition from primary school and through to employment, further education and training.
