We are seeking to appoint a talented, passionate and skilled Teacher of PE to join a successful and experienced department in our Church of England 11-18 comprehensive school. Candidates will have the ability and knowledge to teach both PE and another subject as listed above.

Hutton is a single sex boys school from 11-16 with 704 students currently on roll. The school is co-educational from 16-18 with 149 students currently on roll. The school was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2022 and ‘Outstanding’ by SIAMS in February 2018.

We are looking for a colleague who can use their skills and experience to motivate, support and inspire our pupils and students to achieve their full potential. This post would be suitable for Early Career Teachers.

Our PE Department plays a central role in the life of the school with PE and Games lessons being taught across all year groups and the subject offered as a GCSE and A Level option. The department also offers a wide variety of extra curricular opportunities for students of all abilities.

In addition to teaching PE and Games, the successful applicant will also teach their second subject. We are looking for a candidate who can also teach PSHE, Design Technology, Geography, History or English.

Hutton Church of England Grammar School is based in Hutton, Preston, in Lancashire. The school, which opened in 1552 is a religious establishment that is a part of the Church of England. It is boys only, voluntary aided, secondary school with a sixth form. It educates boys between the ages of 11 and 18. At present, there are approximately 858 pupils enrolled at the school including 152 students on the roll in sixth form.
