About the role & Who we are looking for

You will be joining a successful full-time team of 4 science teachers with a dedicated science technician. You will be teaching across KS3-5, with a tutor group.

We are looking to recruit a teacher that has the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to teach across Key Stages 3-5, with very good classroom management demonstrating ability to be innovate. We have a very strong behavioural system with high expectations to allow the best quality teaching.

We are looking for a teacher who can be flexible and responsive to a changing educational environment, and who can contribute to whole school initiatives.

The academy opened in September 2012 and is sponsored by the David Ross Education Trust. It is a smaller than average secondary school that can provide tailored support for your child. We are a non-selective school and believe that all students should have equal access to a good secondary education. We have a wide catchment area taking students from Skegness, the surrounding area and as far as Boston, Alford and Louth.

The trust has made a strong contribution to improving the school's facilities, strengthening its leadership and improving the quality of teaching. Pupils' achievement has improved since the last inspection, especially in English, Mathematics and Science. Pupils made good progress in these subjects last year. Middle-attaining pupils did particularly well. Some pupils made excellent progress. The school's arrangements to safeguard pupils are strong. Pupils feel safe and know how to stay safe.”
