PAY £21,189 to 21,968 FTE (£10.98 to £11.39 per hour)

This is an opportunity for a suitably skilled and personable candidate to join our team of support workers who work closely together to ensure all students have the best help possible. The team work is valued and this approach enables a flexibility in provision based on need and the sharing of group best practice. The post will appeal to someone who prefers to support students aged between 11 and 18 and has the skills and abilities to help them achieve.

 

This is a term time role, 32.5 hours per week and offered on a permanent basis.

 

Bournemouth School for Girls is a girls’ 11-18 selective academy which has the core aim of developing well rounded young people who, as well as achieving outstanding academic results, are ready to make a positive difference in the world. Bournemouth School for Girls is a selective secondary grammar school located in Bournemouth, Dorset.  With around 1100 pupils on roll, including 300 in the Sixth Form, Bournemouth School for Girls is larger than the average secondary grammar. The school converted to academy status in 2011, and is now part of the South West Academic Trust. The trust includes a large number of grammar schools across the region, and is directly affiliated with Exeter University. The school can boast of a wide range of facilities, including large playing fields shared with a local boys’ school.

As a selective institution, the school sets a high academic standard for entry. Potential applicants are expected to pass a number of tests - Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning.  Entrance to the Sixth Form is open to external applications, pending GCSE results. The school itself offers a high-quality academic curriculum for its students, supported both by strong facilities and proper careers guidance.
