Teaching Assistant (term time only, 35 hours per week), to start ASAP

Hoe Valley School is a small, four-form entry secondary school that opened in September 2015 to serve the local community of South Woking.  Currently located in the green space of Woking Park, the School will be moving to a state of the art new building in September 2018 on Egley Road, Woking.

We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous practitioner to join our dedicated team in leading the School on its journey to becoming an established outstanding community School. 

The successful candidate will be part of a team of Personalisation Assistants led by a SENCO who will share and learn from one another as the School grows. 

Our new Teaching Assistant will contribute to improving standards in English and Maths and work with students on a 1:1 level and with small groups. Experience of working on phonics would be an advantage although not essential. They will share the school's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels. 

About you:  

-You will have A* - C grade in English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent

-You will share the school's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels

-You will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong levels of numeracy, written and oral communication

-You will be a team player who is willing to support all aspects of School life  

-Experience of working on phonics would be an advantage although not essential
