Technology Technician (20 hours, term time, Grade 4 Points 6-7).
The successful Science Technician will contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of duties to ensure that the department can run effective lessons. This is a demanding role, and the successful candidate will need to be organised and able to prioritise their work, ensuring that student learning is not compromised.
The Technical Technician will provide technical support to the Technology department by the preparation of tools, equipment, resources, and materials for lessons. The technician will undertake a practical health and safety role within the department, working closely with teachers and pupils to ensure the safety of all. They will have responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of equipment. No previous experience of working in a school setting is required.
