6 hours/week from September 2024

(Option of additional peripatetic singing teaching also available)

We are seeking a music specialist to organize, lead and develop school choirs, to enhance our choral tradition and help build on our current provision. This is an opportunity to be part of our vibrant, successful and friendly Music Department and champion the transformative power of the human voice and the joy and beauty of choral singing. The postholder will also support the department more widely such as by helping small numbers of GCSE students with composition development and/or teaching music theory to grade 5. There is also the opportunity for additional hours teaching peripatetic singing to individuals and small groups, but this is purely optional.

The ideal candidate will have a background of inspirational and outstanding work teaching and leading individual and choral singing across a varied repertoire and will be passionate about promoting participation and enjoyment, along with developing and supporting singing at a high standard (it is not necessary to be a qualified teacher). Salary / Allowances applicable: £45/hour or main/upper pay scale for teachers
