Holme Grange is a successful, traditional Independent School with a real soul. We aim to stimulate intellectual curiosity and encourage pupils to embrace challenge. We have waiting lists in most year groups. We have high expectations, setting high standards for ourselves and our pupils. Pastoral care is the responsibility of every member of staff and is one of the many strengths of the School.

Having very successfully extended our School’s excellent provision to teach to GCSE back in 2015, the School is thriving and Eaton Grange currently operates a 4-form entry at Year 7. We have innovative, forward thinking staff with an understanding of how children learn, and we continue to learn ourselves.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher with excellent leadership skills to join us supporting the Head of the Prep School. You will assist with the implementation of the Prep School Development Plan and will regularly review subject and school policies to ensure that they adhere to the school's developing needs.

You will also be responsible for the direction and development of the Prep School curriculum, ensuring that all students have access to an exciting, innovative and relevant age/phase curriculum. As a lead practitioner who is proficient in their field, you will help establish creative and effective approaches to teaching and learning, playing an instrumental role in raising and maintaining high standards for all students.

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner, with a sound understanding of child development and the principles and practices of primary education. You will possess proven experience of successful curriculum leadership and management and can provide evidence of effective curriculum innovation. You will need outstanding interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and will be capable of working effectively as a key member of a management team.

A willingness to play a full part in the extra-curricular and pastoral life of our happy and vibrant school is essential. Holme Grange has its own salary scale.

Holme Grange is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants for all jobs will undergo appropriate child-protection screening including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to enhanced level. A Prohibition Check is also carried out. Holme Grange School is an equal opportunities employer.

Full details and application form available at www.holmegrange.org or by telephoning 0118 978 1566. Applications will only be accepted by completion of an application form which should be submitted with a hand- written letter of application to the Headteacher – Mrs C Robinson.
