To commence in September 2024, we are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic Assistant Headteacher who is passionate, dedicated and has a proven track record of engaging and inspiring both pupils and colleagues alike.

Ideally, the right candidate would have experience of leading SEND, although the portfolio offered will be determined upon appointment according to the experience of the candidate.

Professional development

Professional and career development is at the heart of what we do. In addition to our supportive appraisal systems, staff have access to a wide range of training and development opportunities including internal training sessions, external courses and sharing best practice across the trust.

We are extremely pleased to have the Calderdale and Kirklees Teaching School Hub based at Shelley College, delivering teacher training (ITT), the Early Career Framework (ECF) and the National Professional Qualifications.

We offer the opportunity of a career development programme that could take teachers on a journey from trainee to senior leader and beyond.

Location

We are in located in the Huddersfield/Kirklees district, with many of our schools in close proximity to a number of towns and cities including Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield. Due to the excellent road links, journey times are minimal, with many of our staff travelling from these areas on a daily basis.

Recruitment process
