Join our Senior Leadership Team at Oaks Park High School as an Assistant Headteacher.  The role will encompass responsibilities such as to lead Middle School and the Pastoral Teams associated with Year 9 and Year 10, along with other key school priority responsibilities.  This is a key phase during the students’ educational journey and so a highly motivated individual is needed to take on this challenging and rewarding role.

As the Assistant Headteacher, you will be responsible for ensuring the academic progress and personal development of all students in Middle School. This will involve developing and implementing strategies to improve pupil premium outcomes, as well as designing and refining the curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of all students.

You will also be responsible for managing and analysing data from a range of systems, including SISRA, ALPs, and Bromcom, to inform KS4 planning and ensure effective interventions are in place where necessary. In addition, you will need to be proficient in the use of external reports such as the ISDR to inform planning for KS4.

This role will also involve line management responsibilities for Pastoral Leaders in Years 9 and 10, as well as overseeing Year 9 and 10 intervention and mentoring programmes, both curriculum and pastoral. You will be responsible for ensuring that these programmes are effective in improving student outcomes and access to extracurricular provision.

Finally, you will lead on middle school pastoral self-evaluation, working closely with the Pastoral Leadership team to develop strategies to enhance the personal development of our students.

The successful candidate will have the relevant experience and a proven track record of improving student outcomes. You will be an excellent communicator and able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. You will have strong analytical skills and be able to use data to drive improvements in teaching and learning.
