About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Principal (Pastoral Care) from September or sooner for our oversubscribed school, Houstone School. Overall Responsibilities:

To provide high quality strategic leadership and management and operational direction, in relation to specific areas of responsibility and line management responsibilities, and in relation to whole school development areas, working in partnership with other member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). 

Promote the ethos, mission, vision and values of the school, and becoming a valued member of, and contributor to, the whole school community.

To lead and support cultural and organisational change in order to promote co-operation with partner agencies and organisations and further improve the educational opportunities and pastoral support available to pupils.

Create a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching school life.

Uphold educational standards in order to prepare pupils from all backgrounds for their next phase of education and life.

Houstone School is a brand new secondary school, which opened in September 2022, we opened with pupils in Year 7-10, and from September 2023 we have pupils in all year groups.
