A unique opportunity to take on the management role at one of our nurseries, providing strong and inspiring leadership and ensuring that the designated setting delivers outstanding childcare in a safe, secure, fun and stimulating environment.
First Steps Childcare currently runs 3 full day care nurseries in Chichester, Bersted and Brinsbury for babies from birth through to children ready to start school. The settings are open 51 weeks of the year, with core opening hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm, closed only for Bank Holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.
You will have experience of a supervisory position in the childcare sector, hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Studies (or equivalent), and have a working knowledge of current Early Years regulations – to include Every Child Matters, Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted Standards.

Chichester College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in West Sussex. It is a 16-plus institution with two main sites in Chichester and Pulborough, plus further outreach centres in Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Worthing. It has links to local employers, most of a small to medium size.
Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology, as it was formerly known, opened in 1964. Chichester College has been offering work-based training since 1996. It has approximately 10,897 part-time learners and 3,732 full-time students.
