We are looking for a Class Teacher to join our new Options Autism School - Brinksway School in Stockport. The school will have capacity for 55 pupils and is due to open in September 2024. 

Brinksway School is going to be a Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs School for pupils with Autism. 

  • Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata) 
  • 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday
  • Term Time only
  • Permanent

Working as a Class Teacher, you will deliver fun educational based learning which is tailored to each of our pupils to ensure they will achieve positive results.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing, planning and assessing teaching sessions whilst maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments
  • Writing and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment, setting challenging yet achievable targets
  • Build relationships with all pupils, which will encourage their interest and participation in their education
  • Creating an environment which is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings

Key Skills Required:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills
  • Have a background of teaching English and Maths, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level
