Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and creative teacher who knows how to motivate and connect with children to ensure they have the best possible chance to thrive.

To be successful, you will have the ambition and dedication to work as part of our team in developing the curriculum offer in line with current practice and research in effective teaching. You will be able to support in the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate and seek to positively impact your field and the Academy.

You will be expected to teach KS1 level.

For any ECT applications, we offer an excellent Early Careers Teacher programme, and you will be fully supported through your ECT years by a mentor and the Principal.

Richard Wakefield C.E Primary is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

Here, at Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy, everyone works with pride to achieve their personal best. There are 269 pupils aged from 3 to 11 years. Many of the children live in the lovely village of Tutbury, which is about five miles from Burton-upon-Trent. The school is fortunate to have the spectacular setting of Tutbury Castle in the background.
