Job overview

Computing/ICT Teacher - * (This post is suitable for NQT/ECTs or Unqualified Teachers)

Permanent, Full Time

Start date: September 2024 (or as soon as possible)

Pay: UQT/MPS/UPS + SEND Allowance 1 (SEND Allowance is not applicable for UQT)

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational colleague to join our established, specialist SEND/SEMH schools.

This post is integral to our schools and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. We want to support pupils to become digitally literate and express themselves by developing their ideas through, information and communication technology at a level suitable for the future workplace and as active participants in a digital world. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with SEND pupils, and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.

As a Teacher you will need to share our commitment, vision and values and work collaboratively with a team of likeminded colleagues. Our collection of schools is not only changing, but also growing. As a result, this could lead to further progression opportunities within our schools over time.

The successful candidate will be able to engage and enthuse our pupils and work collaboratively within a diverse team of professionals from across the education and wider care landscape. Our mantra “we never give up” and “great today, better tomorrow” underpins our approach to working with pupils and guides our values. This is a fundamental part of our Respect Collaboration of Schools vision so it is important that the successful candidate can fully embrace and embody this philosophy.

We understand that our staff team are at the heart of our success. We have developed a strong culture of collaboration and cooperation with a high regard for personal and professional development. If you feel that you have the ability and drive to enable our students to reach their full potential, joining our school also offers many personal benefits including:

  1. A committed and passionate staff team
  2. A strong commitment to your continuing professional development and training opportunities
  3. Regular well-being support
  4. A supportive environment where your talents will be encouraged, nurtured and rewarded

We firmly believe in giving pupils the tools to manage their own attitudes to their education and learning experiences, progress and behaviour. We provide positive reference points for pupils to reflect upon and grow from. We believe in establishing strong and supportive relationships with parents and carers, recognising the power of a ‘team around the child’ as another important factor in pupils’ success during their time with us.

Respect Collaboration of School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and other vetting procedures including the provision of two good references.

We may undertake an online check for shortlisted candidates.
