An exciting opportunity in our Apprenticeship department for a dedicated, energetic, creative, inspiring and committed Electrical Installation Lecturer has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. This is an opportunity for an ambitious educator to really make their mark in an exciting and forward-thinking FE college, and to prove themselves in teaching role. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons to our electrical apprentices studying Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician Standard in the School of Work Based Learning. In addition to experience in Electrical industry construction (curriculum/industry), you must be educated at least to a L3 level in Electrical Installation and hold a relevant assessing qualification.
We work with a range of local and national employers supporting apprentices to achieve their Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification, AM2 and their overall apprenticeship standard. The apprentices you will be working with are committed learners currently working in industry building the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become qualified electricians. Our courses are focused on ensuring students gain the practical skills and expertise to forge a path of employment in the Construction and Building Service industries. In order to facilitate this we have a dedicated team of experienced and outstanding lecturers and skills coaches with an excellent working knowledge of Apprenticeships and the electrical industry.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.
However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options.
Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
