Finance Manager (Maternity Cover)

 St Thomas More Partnership of Schools is a multi-academy trust with 3 member schools.

We have an exciting opportunity for an interim part time Finance Manager to join our central team to cover maternity leave.

Working closely with the Finance Director you will lead on day to day Trust finance matters and will provide your expertise in financial management to meet requirements of the DfE and ESFA. You will also work closely with Head teachers and school based staff and contribute to the strategic business plan.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a professional qualification. Strong financial management and planning skills, and outstanding communication skills are essential.  

St Thomas More Catholic School, Blaydon

St Thomas More Catholic School is a highly successful and high performing 11-18 Catholic comprehensive school with 1537 pupils on roll, with 314 in the sixth form. It is a Teaching School and was described as an “outstanding school” in its October 2013 OFSTED inspection. In summer 2017, 75% of our Year 11 students attained Grades 9 to 4 in Mathematics, and 80% achieved Grades 9 to 4 in English. In Year 13, 120 pupils completed a wide variety of qualifications. All of whom have secured places at either university, in employment, or with an apprenticeship.
