Sir William Perkins's school is looking to appoint a Gap Year/Graduate Sports Assistant who will perform a supporting role in the successful and effective running and development of our thriving Physical Education Department.

You will be accountable to the Director of Sport and will be responsible for assisting the delivery of PE lessons and co-curricular sport across all year groups. You will also work closely with the Director of Sport to support the development of the School's Sporting Teams.

Netball and Hockey are major sports at our School and you will be expected to specialise in at least one of these sports. 

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate and enthusiastic about sport, have excellent organisational and time management skills with:

  • experience of playing/coaching netball and/or hockey at a high level;
  • ability to umpire netball and/or hockey at a good standard;
  • ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment which fosters engagement, energy and excellence; and
  • previous experience of working with young people

Sir William Perkins’s School is a high-performing, academically selective, independent girls’ school for approximately 600 students aged 11 – 18 years. The Head is both a member of HMC and GSA. It is located on an attractive 12- acre site situated on the outskirts of Chertsey, a two-minute walk from the railway station and very near to the junction of the M3 and M25.
