We have an exciting opportunity at our Shena Simon Campus to join our ESOL, Adult English and Maths Department as a GCSE English Teacher on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.
As a GCSE English Teacher, you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality, and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead, and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice, and quality targets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate of education or PGCE
- Current and valid industry specialism
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
- Experience in an FE College is an advantage but not essential
- Administrative skills required
- Experience of working with students where English is a second language would be advantageous
