About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Head of Geography for September 2023. In this exciting opportunity you will be leading the Geography department delivering outstanding Geography lessons. The successful applicant will drive the academy’s strategic vision working with Middle and Senior Leadership Teams to achieve this. You will be responsible for the achievement and targets of the department.

About you

You will be an experienced and outstanding teacher looking for a new challenge or to develop your career as a head of department. You will be leading a team and should have the relevant experience managing and motivating staff. You will have great behaviour management strategies and you will also have excellent organisation and communication skills to liaise with students, staff, parents and external organisations. You must have experience teaching Geography at KS3 - KS5. If you can teach History and/or RE up to KS4 this would be highly advantageous.
