Denstone College wish to provide an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Head of Outdoor Education and SSI to join us from September. The post holder will be responsible for the College’s outdoor education provision to include Duke of Edinburgh scheme, outdoor activities and trips, as well as contributing to the games programme in liaison with the Director of Sport. In addition, the right candidate will adopt SSI duties, working with the College’s CCF Contingent Commander. You will work under the direction of the Deputy Head – Co-curricular.   

The successful candidate will have:

• DofE supervisor or assessor qualifications

·        Ability to work with secondary aged children

·        Experience with supporting children within outdoor education

·        Experience of DofE in education

·        Experience with record keeping and administration

·        Experience with CCF

·        Knowledge of the MoD Safe System or Training

·        Good outdoor education knowledge 

·        A working knowledge of the DofE administration in schools

·        Leadership and management  experience

·        Knowledge and understand of how to develop and grown an outdoor education programme
