Job overview

We are looking for a teacher of mathematics to lead the development of our Outreach programme. The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner, passionate about the mathematical sciences and dedicated to widening participation in the field. This is a part-time (0.6 to 0.8 FTE), temporary post for one year in the first instance.

As Head of Outreach, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the ICLMS Outreach programme. You will also teach A level mathematics and further mathematics at ICLMS with a reduced timetable.

The school’s current Outreach involves working with KS4 students in mathematics and physics after school and working in partnership with Axiom Maths to deliver Maths Circles to Year 7 and 8 students. The successful candidate will grow the school’s Outreach programme to include additional activities such as summer schools, holiday workshops, working with primary schools and providing CPD for teachers at other schools. You will work alongside the Headteacher to develop and sustain a cohesive Outreach strategy as the school grows and will be supported by an Outreach and Admissions Coordinator, who will manage the administration of the Outreach programmes.

Feedback from students and parents on our Outreach programmes has been extremely positive, and through appointing a Head of Outreach, we hope to build on this success:
