Head of PE - Al Danah School (AY 2023-24)

Aldar Education is currently seeking an inspirational Head of PE to oversee and develop

the school’s sports and PE programme at Al Danah Charter School (ADS) in Abu Dhabi

for the academic year 2023 – 2024, onwards.

This opportunity will suit a highly motivated, well-organized, resilient and innovative

leader who will be able to help shape, direct and deliver an exciting future for PE and

sport as part of the school’s commitment to educating the whole child.

Al Danah Charter School which opened in 2019, follows the US (AERO) Curriculum and

is a large and thriving Charter School, with approximately 2000 students, from KG1 –

G5. Al Danah has an exciting, diverse, and progressive learning community that is

committed to fulfilling the National Agenda for our Emirati students.

The successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude, as life in a Charter School can

be challenging at times, but it is equally highly rewarding, as our impact upon student

learning is clearly visible every day. A sense of humor is vital too!

The Head of PE is responsible for the overarching strategy regarding all aspects of PE

and Sport, considering aspects of both performance and participation for all pupils in

a range of sports and the development of staff within the department. The successful

candidate will be able to create and communicate a clear strategy and vision for the

school and lead and inspire the PE department. They will be a strong presence within

the community, highly visible and be able to form good relationships. They will forge

effective partnerships with other Charter schools in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will have a clear vision of what needs to be

accomplished/implemented to move the department forward and be able to coach

and motivate others when support is needed.
