About the School:

The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys provides a high-quality American curriculum education to more than 1,300 students aged 4 to 18, delivered by inspirational teachers, ensuring that all our students make the most of their talents and abilities. Our striking school, with its exceptional facilities and resources, supports us in providing extraordinary opportunities for our students. SZPAB is accredited by NEASC and is a CIS candidate school.  It was awarded, for the second time, the “Best Blended Arabic Curriculum School in the UAE” in December 2021.

Since its opening in 2015, SZPAB has established a reputation for its innovative use of technology, which was highlighted in the ADEK (Ofsted equivalent) inspection report as an “Area of Distinction” across the UAE.   In 2018 it became the first K-12 school in the UAE to achieve “Apple Distinguished School” status.  This was renewed in October 2021. 

As well as providing a top-class education to the children of local families, the school emphasizes a deep understanding and awareness of their Emirati heritage and its place in the modern world, so that they can become the UAE’s leaders for the future.

About the Secondary School:

Our Secondary School provides education to over 600 students in Grades 6 – 12.  The maximum class size is capped at 25.  Facilities are exceptional and resourcing is generous in all areas.  SZPAB’s first Grade 12 cohort graduated in July 2021.  100% of students were offered a place at a university of their choice, with 34% of students offered places in overseas universities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Head of School or Assistant Head of School with substantial experience of senior leadership, to build on our current successes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) from a UK or American university
  • Relevant qualifications in Education from a UK, UAE, or American university
  • A minimum of 10 years in education, 3 of which in a leadership role
  • Experience of working in the UK or America
  • Experience of working in the UAE an advantage but not required
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

REMUNERATION

A highly competitive salary (negotiable, tax free) plus generous overseas benefits including accommodation, vacation flights, tuition benefit for school-age children, comprehensive medical insurance and visa.
