Oakbank school is expanding and, as a result, we are looking to recruit an ambitious, enthusiastic, and talented, Head of Year to support with our growing student population.

We are looking for an inspirational leader who is passionate about pastoral support and who believes that every child can succeed given the right support and encouragement. The post holder will work with a designated year group (to be confirmed on appointment) and will be responsible for ensuring the behaviour, progress, attendance, and punctuality of all students within that year is excellent.

You will work within a pastoral team which includes several other Head of Years, two Pastoral Support Officers and two Assistant Headteachers. You will be directly line managed by one of the two Assistant Headteachers.

Oakbank school is a thriving school and, although is smaller than many secondary schools, offers a wide range of CPD, training and development opportunities to our staff. 

The school is located in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Reading and is in easy reach of the East and West M4 corridor via junction 11 and the A33 South to Basingstoke.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and have qualified teacher status.
