Following the career advancement of the current head teacher, an exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint her successor at this ambitious school in Croydon. The governors wish to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and strategic leader who can build on the many strengths of the school and work in partnership with the governors to progress the school's journey from good to outstanding.

Good Shepherd RC School has a roll of 243 pupils from a wide variety of backgrounds, is situated in pleasant grounds and has bene?tted from recent extensive refurbishment. It was last inspected by OFSTED in September 2012 and was judged to be a 'good' school with outstanding features.

We are looking for a practising Catholic who is committed to the vision and ethos of Catholic education, who will maintain the strong Catholic and community spirit within our school whilst enabling every child to reach their highest potential. As such, the successful candidate will:

• Have a proven track record as an outstanding practitioner.
• Demonstrate they have high expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement in both key stages.
• Be an e?ective and strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire, challenge and support the pupils, members of sta?, parents, and governors.
