Ravenswood Community Primary School is a two-form entry primary school set in the heart of the community within a new housing development in Ipswich. The beautiful surrounding area of Suffolk offers a unique opportunity for the school to take advantage of local amenities to broaden the curriculum.

Ravenswood Community Primary school require a motivational and inspirational leader from September 2022.

Our new Headteacher will be a highly organised leader who can provide strong, purposeful and strategic leadership to enable all pupils and staff to excel.

Leadership experience is required with a proven track record in successful school improvement.

As the Headteacher, you will be inclusive, have the ability to inspire and bring out the best in staff, be resilient and ambitious as well as experienced in delivering strong educational outcomes. 

This role welcomes either an experienced Headteacher or a Senior Leader looking for their first headship who can demonstrate the following:

  • a proven track record in successful whole-school improvement
  • resilience and is solution-focused with a sense of humour
  • strong leadership, management and organisational skills and has excellent interpersonal skills
  • a proven track record in raising standards in teaching and learning resulting in measurable whole school improvement
  • effective model leadership, ensuring staff have the skills they need to do their job well
  • innovation to improve the quality of the curriculum offer to address social disadvantage and fully meet the needs of pupils with special education needs
  • proactively relationship building with other local schools, across partnerships and within the wider community
  • professional leadership and management of the school to promote a secure foundation upon which high standards in all areas of the school’s work can be achieved
  • working effectively with the Governing Body of the school.
