Queen Eleanor Primary Academy is looking for a HLTA to start in September 2024. To support the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes as well as covering subject leads and teachers’ PPA. Monitoring pupils and assessing whole classes under an agreed system of supervision.

This HLTA opportunity would be suitable for an experienced Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant or a Graduate with experience of working with young pupils seeking to gain classroom knowledge prior to applying for teacher training.

Skills required for a HLTA role inlcude:

• broad educational knowledge to support the curriculum
• desire to improve educational outcomes for pupils
• committed to the welfare and safety of all pupils in your duty of care
