Commencing in Easter 2022 (or earlier if possible)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy, where putting students first is part of our fundamental culture. We strongly believe that positive outcomes for our students come from the professionalism, commitment and passion for excellence displayed by our staff.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher work with identified students individually or in small groups to support learning and maximize their potential This includes students who are underachieving, at risk of exclusion, poor attenders, disaffected, experiencing learning difficulties, lacking in self-esteem and confidence. Experience of working with students with Social and Emotional Mental Health challenges would be an advantage.

The post holder will work alongside a highly skilled HLTA within our Progress Center. The postholder will act as a Key Worker to the identified students.

Bridgwater College Academy is the only all-through mainstream Academy in Somerset and opened in 2012.  Student numbers are divided equally between Primary and Secondary phases; we also have a nursery provision too. The Academy was the first sponsored Academy within the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, which now hosts seven Academies and is itself set to continue to expand in the future.
