KEW COLLEGE PREP is an independent co-educational pre-prep and prep school for children aged 3 to 11 years. Based in Kew, West London, it is a friendly and family-orientated school which aims to prepare pupils for the modern world: balancing academic and pastoral care with creativity, exploration, and community.
We are looking to appoint either an IT Manager or an IT Technician to support the School. There would be the possibility of future progression to Manager if the appointment was that of IT Technician. If we were to appoint an IT Manager this role would take on the duties of the IT Technician (as outlined below).
Profile of the IT Technician role
Salary in the region of £23k+ depending on experience
Responsibilities:
· Providing technical support to pupils and staff
· Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues in a timely manner
· Maintaining and updating computer systems, software and networks with our IT provider
· Participating in IT projects and initiatives
· Ensuring compliance with school IT policies and procedures
Requirements:
· Basic IT skills
· Preferred experience with Windows, networking and Azure
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ideal would be someone with experience working in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting
· A desire to keep up to date with new technologies and best practices in the IT field

Salary in the region of £32K+ depending on experience
The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise and strong people skills, as well as a good command of written and spoken English.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the school's IT Systems
- Providing technical support to pupils and staff
- Planning, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure
- Ensuring compliance with school IT policies and procedures
- Managing IT projects and initiatives
- Managing IT budgets and resources
- Maintaining and updating computer systems, software and networks
- Staying current with new technologies and best practices in the IT field
Requirements:
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft endpoint/Intune, Windows, networking, Server 2012 through to 2022, Hyper-V, SAN drives, VOIP systems, SCCM, Hybrid Exchange, Hybrid Network, SharePoint/OneDrive and Azure
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
