A co-educational HMC boarding and day school for 11-18 years
Haileybury wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Italian Assistant. The successful candidate will help to develop the Italian conversational skills of Haileybury’s 6th form pupils by conducting conversation classes on a 1:1 basis, or in small groups. He/she will aid our pupils as they prepare for their AS, A level, and IB oral exams. In addition to this conversational work, the role may include extension sessions for our Italian (near) native pupils, and our Able, Gifted and Talented linguists lower down the school as a supplement to the pupils’ timetabled Italian lessons. These extension sessions will help to maintain and increase the pupils’ fluency and enhance their experience and awareness of Italian literature and current affairs. The successful candidate will motivate and inspire pupils to speak Italian and will play an important role in Haileybury’s vibrant Modern Languages Department.
