Job overview

Are you looking for a fun, new and exciting role? Do you want to make a difference?

We are looking for an Employ Me Job Coach to work around the Southport area on our Employ Me Services. Our programme offers a wide range of benefits, helping people with learning disabilities:

· To raise their aspirations

· Build skills and confidence

· Have a better understanding of employment

· Show employers what they can do

· Progress towards paid work, voluntary work or further education

You will work across Southport directly supporting SEND learners, working collaboratively with employers and generating referrals from schools, colleges, community partners, Job Centre Plus and support agencies.

You will be part of a team of Caseworkers and Job Coaches working with learners individually and in groups (online and face-to-face) to put their individual learning plans into action. These activities will include supporting learners to develop skills in the workplace, carry out job search activities and undertake travel training. You will play a large role in taking learners into, or closer to, paid employment.

You will need the ability to work on your own initiative, good interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively with learners, employers and parents/carers are essential. The ability to maintain accurate and up to date records using IT based systems is also required. You will work with adults and school/college students.

This is a home-based, full-time (37.5 hours a week) role initially until 31st August 2022.
