Manchester Hospital School works to ensure that any child who is unable to attend their own school due to ill health can continue to make progress in their education and to experience success.
We work with children of all ages and abilities and operate across a number of sites including Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH), University Hospital of South Manchester, Leo Kelly School and the Christie NHS Foundation Trust. We also offer home tuition to children who cannot attend either their own school or any of our locations.

This person will be part of the MHS school improvement team and will focus on raising standards and developing teaching and learning in English across the school (in both Primary and Secondary phases). You will work with subject leads and teachers to ensure that the aims of the school are translated into high-quality class practice.
As part of the school improvement team you'll have apart to play in developing and implementing, monitoring and evaluating:
- Teaching and learning
- Curriculum planning
- Continuing professional development
