Job overview
Be the spark that releases potential.
Pool Hayes Academy is a rapidly improving school. In our most recent Ofsted Inspection we secured our first Good ratings for Leadership and Management, Personal Development, Behaviour & Welfare and 16 to 19 Study Programmes – and we have some ambitious plans for the future.
Blazing a trail for innovation in the classroom, you will bring Maths to life with every lesson. In short, you’ll help every student, at every level of ability, to get ahead and will set some challenging targets – and ensure their attainment. But, you’ll also be a high-profile leader; shaping the curriculum, planning schemes of work and coaching your colleagues whilst pursuing your own CPD.
Apply your imagination to overcome barriers to learning, and collaborate with the community to develop ideas and make Maths more relevant.
You will inspire students at every level of ability, and go the extra mile to close attainment gaps and engage pupils with special needs. As an experienced and outstanding classroom practitioner with real insight into cutting edge learning strategies, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running, and you’ll be keen to accelerate our journey towards Outstanding through your leadership. Above all, you will be able to apply your imagination to make Maths a subject of choice.
In return, you can expect heavy investment in your CPD and plenty of scope for career development within our rapidly expanding Academy or the Trust’s network of 23 schools.

Closing date: 1:00pm on 17 October 2017.
Please note that this position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, two satisfactory references and that your qualifications will be verified.
