Job overview

The Nova Education Trust is again collaborating with the National Citizen Service NCS to provide all year 11 pupils from our network of schools with this fantastic, character building and skill development opportunity. This is an exceptional opportunity for applicants to assume a high level of responsibility and gain significant experience with a nationally recognized youth development programme.

The NCS programme is split into three phases.  Phase 1 is a five day residential experience at an outdoor adventure centre which is comprised of team building activities and physical challenges.  Phase 2 is another week long residential where young people live in halls of residence at the University of Nottingham and take part in a wide range of structured skill and personal development sessions designed to help them understand more about their local community, social issues, project planning, fundraising, marketing and campaigning.  During the final two weeks (phase 3) students will design and deliver their very own social action project to address and make a difference to an area of need within their local community.

We are looking to recruit inspirational and ambitious people to the above listed positions.  This is an incredible opportunity to play a pivotal role in the personal development of our amazing year 11 pupils.

We have two waves running this summer (Monday-Friday):

Wave 1:  Monday 25th June – Friday 27th July

Wave 2:  Monday 9th July – Friday  3rd August

We will provide you with full training.  Staff appointed to these roles must be available on the following dates:

First Aid Training:                will take place on Thursday 21st June 2018    (Programme Leaders and Team Leaders only)

NCS Staff Training:              will take place on Friday 22nd June 2018         (All Staff)
