Job overview

Welcome to Kenley Primary School. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team and be involved in the setting up and running of a new Nurture Provision. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of this setting, under the guidance and leadership of the SENDCO.

What does the role involve?

The role of the Nurture Leader will include providing specialised learning support for children identified as having emotional difficulties as well as supporting the wider school. They will work therapeutically with our pupils in the school's nurture room establishing good relationships with, and acting as a role model for, them.

The postholder will plan, organise and undertake other related duties, to fully support and underpin learning, personal, emotional and social development across the school.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is able to work proactively, independently, and also as part of a school team with a commitment to inclusion. An individual skilled at relating well to children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, able to hold all children in mind with unconditional positive regard.

Additionally, the Job Description and Person Specification shown in the application pack will give you a good indication of who we are looking for, including the skills and experience of our ideal candidate.
