Pastoral Intervention Practitioner

37 hours per week, Term Time plus two weeks (36 weeks)

Leighton Park School is looking to appoint a Pastoral Intervention Practitioner to provide targeted pastoral intervention and support to students aged 11 to 18. Working with the Deputy Head: Pastoral and the Safeguarding Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will assist with investigating and supporting reported safeguarding cases.

The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as counselling or will have substantial experience working with young people and their families. This is a busy and varied role, which will require assisting the Designated Safeguarding Lead with caseload as well as developing inclusive strategies to support students.

The School has been recognised as a national leader in student wellbeing and pastoral care, gaining the Wellbeing Award for Schools accredited by the National Children's Bureau and winning the Independent Schools Association (ISA) national award for Excellence in Pupil Personal Development. We are currently a Finalist for Pastoral Development of the Year Award with the National Association of Pastoral Care in Education (NAPCE).
