Pastoral Support Assistant

Permanent 37 hours per week, TTO + 5 days

Scale 4 pts 7-11 (£21,339 - £23,316)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Pastoral Support Assistant to join the pastoral team at Birchensale Middle School. You will work alongside the Head of Year and support them in ensuring that support for both students and families is provided to ensure that their time at Birchensale is a happy one.

This is a permanent, 37 hours per week, term time plus five inset days contract.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

  • has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • will make a difference in changing children’s life chances.
  • has the skills and abilities to support children of all abilities and personal needs.
  • can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
  • has the ability to form effective relationships with students and parents/carers.

Birchensale Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle school in Worcestershire serving students from the age of 9-13 years. The middle school is situated in Redditch and has approximately 600 students on roll.

Birchensale Middle School runs a successful breakfast club that was identified as good by Ofsted.
