Victoria Academy is a two-form entry junior school, rated Ofsted Outstanding (February 2024), with 200 pupils. The school is part of the Furness Education Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. Currently comprised of six academies, the Trust aims to develop best practice in each school by providing ‘Seamless Education through Collaboration’ whilst also providing exciting development opportunities for its staff.
The Local Academy Committee is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated sports coach to provide a full curriculum of physical education and a broad range of extra-curricular sporting activities.
The successful candidate will join a highly motivated and hardworking staff team.
We are looking for an individual who:
· Has previous experience of working in the sports coaching and/or education sector
· Has experience working with Key Stage 2
· Holds a Level 2 sports qualification or similar in the sports/education sector
· Demonstrates a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children
· Is an excellent communicator
· Has the ability to engage and enthuse children through sport
