East Leake Academy is a successful school in a growing village which is proud of the pastoral care that its students receive in the years 7 to 11 and in the Sixth Form.  We are looking to appoint a proactive Post 16 and Pastoral Administrator to work under the guidance of the Assistant Principals for Post-16 and Personal Development Behaviour and Welfare to secure good attendance and progress across all year groups.

You will need to be:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Used to working with young people, especially 11-19 year olds
  • Proactive, adaptable, flexible, confident and calm under pressure
  • Confident in using IT packages to improve productivity
  • Well organised and a good communicator, both verbal and written
  • Committed to professional development
  • Committed to improving outcomes for students

The role will include: 

  • Supporting our 'outstanding’ sixth form provision and exemplary pastoral care
  • Student reception duties and resolving student queries
  • Attendance and punctuality monitoring - report on and support our Sixth Form students in securing good punctuality and attendance
  • Producing reports on Post-16 student progress as required throughout the academic year
  • Processing UCAS applications and co-ordinating references
  • Admissions in all year groups (7 to 13)
  • Administration to support the pastoral team including communicating with parents/carers, liaising with outside agencies and managing pastoral appointments
  • Results days administration – offers and enrolment

The working hours are 37 hours per week - term time only - 8am to 4.30pm.  There is the requirement to work at the middle and end of the August holidays (ten days) to support results days and the start of the academic year.
