King's Leadership Academy Bolton, part of the Great Schools Trust is looking to appoint a Spanish Language Practitioner to the team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. As a Spanish Language Practitioner within our academy, you will play a pivotal role in promoting language acquisition, cultural appreciation, and global citizenship among students. Leveraging your expertise in the Spanish language and culture, you will contribute to the academic success and holistic development of our students, preparing them for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Spanish language lessons to students across various age groups and proficiency levels, incorporating diverse teaching methodologies and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  • Support the integration of Spanish language and culture into the curriculum, collaborating with subject teachers to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and cross-cultural experiences.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group language support sessions for students who require additional assistance in mastering Spanish language skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress, develop personalised learning plans, and provide constructive feedback to support students' language development journey.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in language teaching, instructional technology, and cultural competency.
